Taken with a Canon 20D, Tamron 90mm f2.8 di, Canon 580exii speedlite, DIY flash diffuser.

1) Baby cricket 4mm (not including the antennas).

What is that DIY diffuser like? Can you see it it?

By the way, this little cricket was really posting for you. Nice shots.

I needed something to redirect the flash down towards the subject and to also diffuse the strong light. I used the following:
- junk mail flyer
- scotch tape
- lined the inside with aluminum foil
- a paper towel on the front to actually diffuse the light

I based this upon Lord V's prototype.

interesting setup Hung, I expect the final production model will be a bit more sophisticated.

Nice color and contrast with your close ups.

ya it was my first experimental flash diffuser. it works well but looks quite qhetto. LOL
