This is a close up of an African Violet. Just cropped off the blurred R/H side a bit, then framed for presentation. This is often a tricky plant to get right as the colour usually goes a bit wrong. It seems a very sensitive hue to white balance correctly- notice how blue it goes in the shade - yet our eyes see the whole plant the purple colour of the part in the light.

Nice job...I have tried these before and agree the color can be wierd to capture the way we see it.

Shoot, I can't even grow a African Violet let alone get a good close up of it like your shot.

Wonderful colours, wonderful flowers, composition just right. Beautifully velvetish
