These dianthus clustered together at the top of the branch. Good looking but overlapping one another. I looked for one that is less overlapping ...

I shot with a macro 180mm and a Canon 500D magnifier. The 180 provides better out-focused effect for the neighbouring petals.

This is a white one and the flower is scattered rather than clustered. Since the petals are resting on slightly different planes,it is difficult to avoidhaving head-on light on one of the petals.
