Tom- I'm not sure where you are located, but I ran across some small bluebells that look very similiar to yoursthis weekend while hiking in the sagebrush country near Yakima. Most of the bluebells were badly damaged in a heavy frost (18 degrees) we had here a couple weeks ago, but these must have been some late bloomers. They were kind of protected under a large sagebrush shrub. I had to clean the area around them to open it up enoughto take the picture. I find bluebells very pretty, but hard to catch just right. These look more mature than yours. I love the Trillium, wish we had them around here- Bruce

The frost can be unkind to Bluebells and they insist on coming out early anyway. Thats what makes them a challange. These were shot saturday a week ago and these were fresh copm pared to the bulk of them. They carpet the ground in a small local park.

The lens is an old Sigma 180 macro. I find it to be rather sharp and We have a comfort level working together.
