Took this photo this morning in the backyard. One of the first to bloom so it is just starting to open and get bigger.

Tripod mounted,shutter release Canon 100mm macro lens. Mirror lockup.

A very nice shot indeed Mandy - color and saturation look very good. It's nice and sharp with very good detail ~ Ron

Thank you Ron.......I have figured out that macro shots need to definitely be on a tripod (especially if you drank a hefty mocha latte w/caffeine before you started shooting) to keep the lens steady. Also the mirror lockup is another good thing to do.
