Are you using a tripod? It's nearly impossible to get sharp macros hand-held.

i'm sorry for the late reply.

i currently, don't own a tripod.

one is one my list of new items w/ a dslr. [i am still undecided, there]

my photos are hand held [except a rare night shot, but even then i'll hand hold -why? i dont now-just for the practice?]
& i usually only post those i am somewhat happy with.

today is an exception:

if the subject is real small, such as teeny-tiny,pinhead sized bubbles [today]

then i run into problems, with the camera i am using at this time.

so it tried settingi set the the camera on top of the glass and shoot into the scene.


the bubbles aren't as close as I'd like them.

B/W wasn't any better
