Yes. Partly your influence (you said about the super CCD in one of your posts here in Steve) and partly because its different film modes really fascinate me.

I like the framing in the2nd shot, too. The subject is more prominent there positon-wise and from the point of view of its whole structure.

If I am not wrong here, the shots were taken with the F1b film mode which is more suitable for portraiture photography. I like the kind of green it yields, which is more natural, as well as the red which is pretty vibrant but not so much as it is in F2.

Perhaps, an all-purpose choice is the Standard. I like to set thethe dynamic range thereat 230% to make both ends(the highlight and the shadow) meet.
