Default Among Scillas and Snowdrops

Here's my garden's own Scilla and Crocus at it's best
This is quite new to me, only having owned my Sigma 50mm Macro lens since last November, but it's not until now I'm actually using it
Pointers on how to success more in Close-Up photography is much welcome !

the first one, i am not fond of the leaf going through the flower, it ruins the smooth flow for me.

the 2nd one i like this one, but i think you could darken the brown background a bit, that would help you bring out the brilliant white of the flower.

3rd one. the twig is sharp, but the flower is not, which doesn't really work.

4th one. this one again, watch your backgrounds, if you would have moved over to your right a little more and framed it against the brown you would get better subject isolation. also, in the same vein, i would have got closer, allowing you to fill the frame with the subject. this one would be very nice with a closer crop and set against the brown.

hehe... I'm getting the hang of it now I think...I definetly gotta watch for better backgrounds, even when shooting..
Great pointers mate... It's my first two weeks of shooting with a macro lens, so it's really new to me !

and to sidetrack a bit:
I accidentally laid my eyes on this :O :O :O :O
DO WANT! haha
Tamron 90mm Macro

Here are peoples uploaded pictures with it... It's a swedish site, but you get the hang of it...It's a really really good site...
It's almost fully community based, so there's always new stuff put up, depending on if people uploads
Pictures taken with it

I'm not one to critique composition because that's one of my biggest "needs to improve" on faults that I have to learn to overcome but, I think you made a big improvement from your earlier post.

This is the first time I've seen a bee with blue pollen. the last one with the squared faucets on the water drop is fascinating! Love the star catch light too. Keep up the good work.
