Thanks mcliu, lens is definitely a keeper

Hi Ronny, Thanks again, the slide rails certainly help to get the focus just where you want it, just for info #3 is the seed head of a clematis ( this on is called bluebird if I remember rightly).

Hi Bob, Many thanks ... as I said above the slide rails help put the focus just where you want it, the set I have have a good range of adjustment in the focus area, and there's negligible backlash in the adjustment, which can be a pain in the butt. ... Jack.

These are amazing! So delicate!
As mentioned above, #2 really stands out with the small area of focus.
Take care,
Glen

Hi Glen thank you, Haven't seen you around much for a while. That's the big advantage of the sliderail Glen, as I said before you can set the focus just as you want it. I've tried in the past, and had very poor results with this lens handheld, being a M42 fully manual lens there's no auto stop down, the only way is to use a tripod which helps but can be fiddly in positioning the tripod if you just want a 1:1 shot, but addition of the sliderail with it's wide range of adjustment at the focus point gives so much more ease of use. ...
