Default Testing a newly acquired Tripod + sliderails

Hi all,
Just a few macros from my garden to try out the above. The first 2 are @ 1:1, and the second 2 about 1:1.5 using this lens on the pentax K100D

Macro Lens

Was curious how well the spiders web in the last one would show.
Nothing special ... just thought to post for any comments. ... Jack

Very nice, Jack!
In the first shot, its easy to imagine a pair of white doves nestling down into the budding plant.
The spider web framing the leaf is rather interesting, too.

Really like the last one with the spider web. Looks like you are doing well with the new set-up.

Thanks GW !, they need to be very small doves, this 1:1 shot + a crop makes it look quite big which it isn't. LOL tthe plant is some sort of weed ... I haven't a clue just what. ... Jack.

Harriet ... Thanks, the setup works well, and easy to use, but any kudos are down to the lens Viv 90/2.8 ( It is made by komine), which I believe is on a par with the Viv 105/2.8 that you use, apart from this being a M42 fully manual lens.
... Jack.

Hi Mole
Thanks for the compliments, I'm pleased with this set up. I've just been experimenting further indoors ( much more wind outside today). I've switched the lens for the Tamron AD2 SP 90/2.5 + it's companion Ext. tube that gives 1:1 on a PK/A mount, so the camera can now read lens perameters, and permits use of PTTL flash also, I reckon this could work well handheld as well. ... Jack.
