great shots the first creature (insect) is very odd looking and that spider is bloody massive

good macros .

Thanks for the kind words...we have been feeding the Spider everyday...I had better shots of the Cicada (We call them locust in the South), I couldn't see very well when I uploaded these...got some great pictures of the spider with the FZ35 also...they are a good kind to have they eat lots of bugs that eat the roses...I called my wife last night and asked her if my 5 yr old had fed the spider yet...lol...
