Default T1i with EF 70-300 and 500D Close up lens

Well after playing with the 500D close up lens for a month now. I am really enjoying how nicely it does macro with a long lens, Giving me some really good working distance.

Here are some I shot today. The color is very pleasing to me, no editing except for the white flower.

Yup it is a very small flower, the size of a dollar coin.

Here are some tripod work with different apertures to show you the dof. The ef 70-300 has a tiny f45 on the small end. Also shot at 200iso. Taken with the 60D

1st is f45, 2nd at f40, 3rd at f36, 4th at 29, and 5th at F20

thanks for taking the time S/T to show just how small of aperture you need when working this close for such small subjects. should be handy for someone wanting to use a closeup filter. and still looks pretty sharp at f45.

Shoturtle - the flowers look a bit soft to me but the dime pics are really clear.
I've noticed that some colors seem to focus better and are sharper than others.
Are those Impatiens flowers?

The flowers shots were handheld, and a windy day and not at the sharpest point of the lens. The dime was better, tripod, IS off, cable release indoors.
