Default Teeny fly on tiny flower

Took this macro shot of a tiny wildflower (no more than a cm across) and this teeny spotted-wing fly last week end out at Dangar Gorge. Don't know the name of either, but the fly is quite common.

Interesting fly, I would not have a clue as to what kind it is, there seems to be so many types. I wonder what it would look like with some tone mapping?

Thanks for the comments Frank. Now I'm going to show my ignorance. I've heard of tone mapping but don't know what it is let alone how to do it. Is it easy to explain? ...would be appreciated.

Cheers

Bernice

Bernice, it is a little difficult to explain so I will give you a link to read on if you would like http://hdrbox.com/tone-mapping-definition/ I hope this helps.
It is akin to HDR I think, or maybe it is HDR but the correct term for it, I am not sure, but there are examples on this forum of the effect (check out the HDR forum) OK? great check you later!
