Nice detail. I bet you used an expensive camera. My closeup of the date on a Morgan dollar was also shot with my point and shoot.

Hi Bynxy,
Wow your Point and shoot goes crazy close. Have you put a lens in front of the camera ??? Just tried mine and it will fill the frame with the first 2 coins, but thats it.

Luckily my point and shoot has a threaded lens which will accept filters. So I had a close up filter on front as well as having the camera on macro. Problem is lighting. Lens is so close it blocks out the light so the coin has to be on an angle which means the whole thing doesnt come into focus.
