Actually, "hold on a cotton pickin' minute" is still said here, but probably mostly in the south. If you ever hear a film actor say 23 skidoo, it's an OLD film. Which reminds me. In the film "Gone with the wind" the last sentence broke a hollywood taboo by incorporating a swear word. Clark gable says "Frankly my dear, I don't give a damn". So you might say this movie is responsible for the depths screenwriters have sunk to. Or maybe not

HE HE HE but my parents weren't watching!! There was a little country store at the end of my road who would sell me anything for the right money. ( I'd just tell them it was for my Dad) (((OOOH now I am found out, but Dad's 92 and can't catch me to give me a good stroppin' ..... Yes I corrupted myself EARLY buddy, and am still doing it today!! mmoooouuuu HA HA! (evil laugh) Frank
