Default Inviting a Lady to Breakfast

Got up early and went on the porch and found this orb weaver spider had invited a ladybug in for breakfast. In a month or so these orb weavers will have big webs ready.

Doesn't the spider know that a ladybug is a beneficial insect ??

Nice shot Clint but I would have preferred the spider caught a fly or skeeter.

Yesterday it caught sort of small fly but it was too shrunken to tell what kind.
