Nice pic, Clint. Without tools, it'll be hard for him to hammer out a plan, much less climb the ladder to success.

Clint,

Your latest close ups of insects really stand out. Sometime you must tell us how you do

I got a Kenko 2x Teleplus Pro 300 teleconverter and attached it to my Sigma 105mm macro lens. I got a good buy off eBay on the converter. It makes things twice as big an gives more working distance but it's a real challenge to get the focus and DOF. After all the "conversions" it's like shooting with a 310mm lens. I use manual focus on almost all my macro shots and about 85% of the time use a tripod. I use a flash most of the time because the teleconverter really eats up the light and I want to keep the ISO low and the aperture up around f14 or higher. Adding the Metz ring flash on the end makes it even more difficult to hold steady. I got lucky on the ant. He kept running up and down the leaf until I gently breathed on him and he froze long enough to get a few shots.

He looks well rounded to me. LOL, comments can be as fun as the shot. Does he prefer a 4x4 or 2x2 with a fine wood grain alcohol? I sure would sitting in the ANTebellum room.
OK this post has totally gone off topic as have I.
