Default Remember Harry???

Do you remember Harry??? He's an Imperial Moth Caterpillar. He pupated a few months ago so I decided to get him out of the jar and take some "winter" pictures in his new suit.

These last 2 shots are focus stacked - about 4 or 5 images each.

I hope Harry makes it through the winter. It will be interesting to see him as a giant moth.

Did I ever tell you about my butterfly pupa story? When I was just a little kid, I found one hanging from a branch so I took it inside and kept it in a cage for days/weeks until I could see some movement. I excitedly took it outside, watched a beautiful butterfly emerge, just to see it immediately get eaten by a lizard!!!! That was traumatic......

So, guard yours carefully!!

That's awful but I'm still laughing - that's exactly the way a bunch of firefighters would write the story - sort of like Bambi meets Godzilla animation.

I remember harry, those are some very cool shots, can't wait for the next chapter. Thanks for the share. I have never see that kind of detail but can make out the head already.
