The nasty Copperhead..these guys are agressive here in our area...very poisonous and mean pit viper. Very good shots!!!

Thanks he was still cold and not moving fast at all...even when I moved him off the trail he only opened his mouth and did not strike...maybe if I would have introduced a little heat around those pit's he might have struck?

Wow, that's close. I just got bit by a black widow and had to do to the M.D. and that's no fun, still a little out of the game. I try to stay away from things that bite. Anyway great shots, I notice his pupils are more dilated in a couple shots, he doesn't look too happy.

Thanks Loren, I think he just woke up from hibernation his right eye was still not functional or had been damaged somehow the left eye was very functional and wide open...

Very very good shots of a wonderful snake.

I love snakes and you are very lucky to have such wonderful species in your area.
