Default Black widow warning.

She was hidden in an easy place to get bit.
I love spiders but this one got the Raid treatment, they are fast and I've been bitten before and had to see the doc.
They are dangerous, sorry to all the spider lovers out there.
Are those the fangs that I see? Don't know that much about the BW except for the effects of a bite.

And one more shot.

I was in the hospital for about 20 days in December (not for a spider bite) and got this when I got out, This photo shoot wore me out but I had to get it and her.

I do web programming and totally swamped. Sorry about not posting recently.
Cheers.

Hi Loren, nice close up shots of the widow. I think(I am not spider expert), the fangs are tucked in and not easily seen. What we are seeing may be her pedi palps. (From wordnik) "One of the second pair of appendages near the mouth of a spider or other arachnid that are modified for various reproductive, predatory, or sensory functions.

Posting a dead Black Widow is not the same as posting the picture of a dead bunny, if you know what I mean. I don't go out of my way to kill any animal, unless I feel directly threatened. I think most people will be OK with your pics.

I wouldn't hesitate for a second in disposing of one of these things. One of the reasons I wear gloves when weeding or gardening. A friend of mine DIED from the bite of a Brown Recluse!
