Default Chess and the Rebel

So I ordered a Digital Rebel .. and cancelled the order after deciding Ill wait for the D70 release..... But It arrives yesterday anyway... LOL I think I just might keep it !

Chess Anyone?

Yeah yeah I know could be a lot better but its 1:30 AM and Im sleepy playing with the new toy , shot over 400 pix of the same damn chess board in every geometric arrangment imaginable while testing various modes, aperatures, ISO , etc LOL

You have a definite dilemma. These are evidence of a really nice camera being used by a set of skilled hands and a good eye. I don't envy your need to make a decision.

very cool! Excellent color balance... What were you using to light it? Did you use Custom balance?

Pop-Up flash with a peice of convex frosted glass (with a clear center section) to focus & diffuse the light, white balance was auto.

Also pShop 7 auto-levels on some .. dont remember which though LOL
