Default Ants again :) Now really close

First one is heavilly cropped but others not that much
I find this little worl of ants really amazing, don't you?

look at the DOF on those shots...or should i say the lack there of...

Holy cow! Did you use your reverse lens contraption to get those up that close? Those are really cool shots!

Yes Guitarman, I used it again. Vito is right, DOF is too shallow and it's real nightmare to get photo right. I think DOF is (with F2.6 which I used due to lack of light) only two or three milimeters. I'll try to se how it goes with F8 if I get the chance of seeing sunny day over here

I used old 50mm lens from old russian made Zenit, reversed it and positioned in front of my camera lenses. I keep camera in macro mode with 3x optical zoom. Somehow I managed to screw it on my camera using regular lens adapter which I use for teleconverter, and duct tape. I used duct tape around lens adapter and sticked enough of it to be one milimeter wider than the thread diameter on Zenit lens. Now I only have to screw it on and ready to shoot. Although image quality is not very good, due to small DOF, I find this setup good enough to see the world of small things

do you think this would work with a teleconverter? i think i'm just gonna try it....lol
