Hi all, I'm a new member here, I bought a Canon A80 and have been playing with it everyday. I love this camera and it has re-kindled my love of photography.

Here's one of my pics, it's not perfect but it turned out pretty good. Let me know what you think.

good question, i will have to check my memory card, the camera does save those details i think.

I had the camera set on Macro, but i must have also been using the zoom making the background kind of fuzzy unfortunately.

wow....i'm impressed that the 1/500 shutter stopped the action like that...

nice clarity too....the mixture of the large arperture and some zoom threw the bg out of focus....but that is a good thing...you don't want to distract from the bee...

Vito is absolutely right. The blurred background is precisely what you want in a photo like this. Otherwise, both the flowers and the bee would get lost in the jungle. Nice work!

thanx guys and gals! This is one of the only forums I have joined where people were really friendly right off the bat!

I'm no photography expert but I know a good looking pic from a bad one. The nice thing about these digital cams is that I can delete the blurry bad pics and get more nice ones to save like this bee.

I took a few more of the bees, but they were flying all over and the best view of the entire bee was this pic above. I have another staring at the bee's butt as it flew in front of the lens, the bee was too busy working to notice the photographer! LOL! Just like people in a crowd walking in front of a shot!

Anyways, if I take any more cool pics I'll post em.
