An ant rounding up aphids. The first pic is with no flash and the second is with flash. i kept knocking the ant off the vine and it took her less than five minutes to travel about 5 feet back up the vine.

Great job! So close! --I think I like the picture without the flash more. Seems softer and actually brings my eyes to the ant, instead of its surroundings.

great shots, I tend to kill atheds before I photograph them but have managed to get shots once, not done ants yet as I have yet to see any as we are in winter here.

Thanx for the replies!!! ants are difficult as they tend to move quickly and most of them are on the small side.these are my 2 best so far. hopefully i'll get some better ones someday.
