I like the status, the color is absolutely luscious. Number 2 doesn't seem to have a good focal point. The flower in focus is a little too close to the top but maybe it would just take a tiny bit extra light focused on it.

Your composition in all four photos is excellent and it shows how you improve day by day. I've only small quibbles with the first two pictures. Since I doubt that decay was your point in the first, you should probably remove that spot of death on the lower left. The second photo needs an increase in contrast. The third photo works extremely well as an abstract--you did a fine job with it. The fourth photo is the only odd-man-out: it may not be, but it has the appearance of being vastly over-sharpened.

lol, you are right, that one didn't seem sharp out of camera, even though i'm almost positive it was focused right, but....yeah, it is oversharpened........slowly but surely i'm understanding USM, my better example is the fourth one.......i think...lol

hmm....that "spot of death" is actually pollen........i think...but i could fix that..

well, thanks for your input! it's greatly appreciated!

i'm leaving for my vacation tonight so i won't be around till wednesday..

Vitto, Looks like you are getting the hang of it good job.

#1 color excellant, composition to much at bottom of bud

#2 I like this one, draws my eye to a clear and concise part of the pic,

#3 Excellant, Excellant You nailed this one.

#4 I think you tryd to make something out of this one that is simply not there.. although the framing is good. The stem going to the left out of frame is nice

Good Luck Dale
