where you from? that might help me find out what type of flower it is


dont think its an orchid though, orchids dont seed, these have seeds at the end of them. I believe its some type of wildflower

Thanks everybody - we're in Victoria, B.C. I also posted the picture in the Name That Plant Gallery of the Garden web, & both Epilobium angustifolium (fireweed) and Gaura (Whirling Butterflies) have been suggested, but they may both be near the mark because I think fireweed & Gaura are related.
