well, i was out in my living room, and i noticed my cat was sitting in the sunspot(from the skylight) again, so, i decided i'd try to get her eye, i decided mainly on the fact that she was in the brighter sunlight, so i could use a faster shutter...

well, the pictures i ended up with weren't as sharp as could be (probably the effect of digital zoom :-\

but, with PS magic, (high pass sharpening), i was able to get a decent looking photo....

now, you may not think it's bad looking close up...but i don't think it looks that great until you look at it from about four feet back...(so you can't see the fake sharpening i guess )

well...one with all color, one with just the eye color...

wat do you think?

(hmm...if i were to print it...you would mainly see it from farther than 4 feet anyway right? )

Nice! It's very hard to get sharp shot like this ;D

How close did you get when you took the shot?

i was probably around a foot and a half away...maybe two feet....

something in that area....far enough away she didn't run and hide, and close enough i was in macro mode...

it looks SHARP if you're 3-4 feet away from the screen

thanks for your comments

Very nice and interesting. Good job. The picture is very sharp and it does not that over worked look.I thought you had to be closer for that shot. You are lucky your kitty stayed still. I might tryit with mine. No flash of course.

lol, my cat doesn't really care that i'm taking pictures of her....i've tried before, and was snapping, clapping, all kinds of things to keep her from sleeping...hard to get shots of her eye when it's closed

lol

i'm glad you liked them

btw...you don't need to be that close, when you're using telephoto...

which, if i remember correctly, i was at 11x zoom....3x optical, 3.6x digital(evil) zoom...
