The first one appears a little underexposed but it looks like you were having to meter and deal with really bright and dark areas. The second photo of the wild roses knocks my socks off. I really like it, the composition and softening of depth of field and wonderful.

the first is very sharp (what cam ?)

and for the #2 i agree with suzan, very good dof and good composition

I use an Olympus C5060WZ. This was also the first time I used a polarizing filter with it.
