I'm not posting this as an example of a good macro. My DOF and exposure is was way off but I would like to know why smoke is coming out of the back of this butterfly. Laying egges, fertilizing ??

was the tempreture low? Ive seen this at low temps where they are producing an egg and the heat when it emerges causes like a mist.
