i broke out my 50mm, and did some macro work with some mums

wat do you think?

What made the coloration so different in this one? It is so subtle where the second one is so bold.

My suspicion is they are different blossoms in varying states of opening....

hmm...it's possibly i bumped up the contrast more in the first two...

of course, all three shots were of different flowers...so, different colors and such..

Probably because I take so many flower shots.....mums are in now. Have some special shows to go to in the next couple weeks before they start setting up the Christmas displays. I can't believe Ijust said that word.....almost Christmas????

:-)and here I was expecting a close up of your Mum/mother:lol: Ive never heard of a flower called "mum"



Nice shots, I prefer the bolder colored ones.

it's short for a chrysanthemum

HAHAHA i have NO clue how to spell it...(gotta love spell check )

chrysanthemums are autumn flowers...


they're just blooming now (october is harvest....fall... in new jersey)
