ok, before you get too excited

frozen in my freezer...lol

basically, i spent a couple days looking for leaves...i gathered them over a couple days...from different parts of the state (lol while i was working with my dad)

and then, put them in a tray, and poured water in, stuck it in my freezer, and then a couple days (could've later that night though) took it out and took some shots...

leaves have had me befuddled...i got a polarizer (thanks john ) but i don't have the stepdown filter i need...so i had to hold it there...

i'm not sure if it was used on these shots...it may not have...

anyway...

wat do you think of these? are the colors saturated enough?

thanks for your feedback!

Vito

Hi Vito,

Great shots! The first one is my favorite though. The colors are amazing! Really beautiful!

I tried to do the same thing a few weeks ago, but I did not succeed... The ice became too white andmost of the leaves were hidden by it. Maybe I poured too much water in the tray...

I'll try to do it again and hopefully I'll succeed this time!

Greetz,

Angel

thanks for looking!

i'm glad you like them

i think i poured too much water too..

i think the idea is, to get perfectly flat leaves, and pour a small amount of water in...

unfortunately...all the good looking ones weren't nearly flat

thanks again for looking, i appreciate your comments!

Very good photos. I think if you went to the store and bought some distilled water it would have taken out the white shots.

i think i'm gonna try this again, with flatter leaves, and, control the color a bit

Hi Vito;

Nice work. I like thecolours and textures. Don't worry too much about the colour of the ice. Shame you have to hand-hold your polarizer for now; it must really cramp your style. (On the other hand, sometimes technical difficulties can help unleash creative solutions to achieving good shots.)

Regards,

Tom, on Point Pelee, Canada
