Yesterday I found a way of shooting macro in a way I never heard/read of before. When using my macro filters (+7 and +10) i can get really close to the subject. Too close for good lighting and too close should i want to shoot bugs and so on.

So what I did was stack both filters on my Canon Powershot S60 lens adapter AND added the Canon telelens to it. Bit hard to handle, but on a tripod it works ok. Now I get good macro performance at about 15-30 cm depending on using both macrofilters or just one. And DOF is much better than without the tele adapter.

Anyone herad of this method before or tried it?

Tried it on a bunch of roses. You can allmost smell them.

Nice image quality for stacking all those lenses. The first picture is my favorite. I really like the selective DOF in it.
