nice color saturation. DOF pretty shallow; were you using a close-up lens?

thanks for your post,

I used a canon 28-135 zoom lense 135, f5.6, which would probably explain my shallow depth of field.

i would like to explore macro photography, plants insects etc.

If you have any adviceon lenses, techniqueI would be very grateful.

Cheers luke

i don't use an SLR - i have a Panasonic FZ20, with an adapter and a Nikon 6T close-up lens that gets me pretty good results. I'm sure there are similar lenses available for your Canon. What filter thread diameter does your lens have?
