Hi everyone, just joined the forums, and am relatively new to digicams (got my first in September). Thought this photo might be of interest. It was taken in macro mode at full telephoto on my obsolete but still functioning Toshiba PDR-M700 (Ebay bargain). I would appreciate any criticism, good, bad or ugly. It was a handheld shot and is uncropped. No laughing now.:blah:

Thanks for the kind words bejoweth, telephoto was the only way I could get the shot. The flower was in the middle of a flower bed in a public garden. I couldn't very well go stepping my way in.

I plan to post with some regularity, people need a chuckle if nothing else.

Thanks again and Happy Thanksgiving

Randy

Nice shot! I've done the same myself a few times. This time it was to keep my distance from bees! :-)

Hi Dave, I can almost imagine the smell of honey. Good photo, no petting allowed! Hmmm, do bumblebees make decent honey?
