Have you ever taken a picture that you like, even though it is flawed? I took one accidentally the other day.

I like to take pictures of flowers and I've been having a great time with my new Pentax *ist DS. Here's a couple that I've taken recently as examples:

The other day I was wandering around the Botanical Gardens when I came across a couple of bird of paradise blooms, pretty much in the shade. I took one picturewhere I focused on the front bloom, but didn't have enough DOF to get the back one in focus also.

So I set the lens to f22, knowing that the shutter speed would bealmost too slow for me to hand-hold the cameraand focused on the back one (I am using a manual lens) when something popped up. The DOF is still wrong, the shutter speed is too slow, but there is no way I could have got this shot if I had tried.
