Aloha Selvin & Ken,

We are having more winter weather in New York in March than we had in January or February. I would welcome a warm Pacific breeze at the moment.

I have read the Canon 250D close-up lens has a diopter of +4.

It is 58mm. I used it with my F-828 and Canon D30 & D60 prior to that. For me it has produced acceptable, detailed images.

On my new R-1, which is 67mm, I use a Step-down ring to 58 mm. This is all I use, except my tripod. I do use a white paper towel to bounce some light onto a subject when needed. These shots were in a soft but brightly lit greenhouse.

Thank you for your comments.

Regards, Nicholas

Amazing pictures. The first one is incredably full of details. Great job (with a little help of the R1:-)).
