Greetings all!

I was up in some mountains in central Romania yesterday afternoon and took some photos, including this composition I liked because of the signs of life it imparted to me. The melting snow (giving life into the ground) and the newly emerging plant life (particularly this yellow flower) seemed to strike an interesting balance as well as interaction.

Now I realise I have used a rather low depth of field for this "macro / close-up" photo, but I did that on purpose to sort of highlight the "stages" of ice melting down (fading away) to earth and the plant emerging from the slightly out of focus ground. And I thought the new green blades of grass / plant and the brown (decaying) previous year's leaves also struck an interesting balance as the background.

In any case I'm quite pleased with the result, and that's why I decided to post here on this forum!

Let me know your thoughts... I'd be interested to know!

Paul

Thanks Tullio for your kind words!

Yes, I think there is a lot of power just in the balance of colours ... nature has a great way of doing that! (warm yellow / gold, cold white of ice, mixed brown (dull / deal feeling) with the brightgreen appearing!)

Again thanks for your comments

Paul

You're welcome. You just described what I meant by colors and textures. Nothing beats nature when it comes to natural beauty (IMO)!
