For lack of a better name. I'm not sure what the tiny blueish speckles are. I also noticed some purple fringing, which is a bit odd considering there is very little contrast along the edges.

These are beautiful flowers, Tullio. I think you used an ISO higher than 50 to be able to shoot the image without camera shake due to the light condition which urged you to choose a shutter speed as low as 1/15. In low light conditions I'd use manual focusing to prevent any unwelcome surprise.

Hi Tullio,

To be honest I don't think these are some of your better works. And I'm in solidarity with Bahadir, unfortunately the amount of high ISO noise is quite distracting and sadly takes away from the subtle deep smoothness both these flowers could bring.

I don't know what the blue / white specks are on the red flower, maybe artifacts from high ISO or something, it looks like they are tears (torn) in the petals. However I appreciate many of your photos... don't let this distract you from sharing more. I realise these type of photos can often be difficult.

Thanks bahadir and Paul for taking the time commenting and sharing your impressions. These flowers were sitting in a vase (indoors) so yes, lighting was not ideal. I tried using flash butthe resultwas pure garbage. I could polish thema bit in PSE but when the original is not that good, I find PP only makes them worse. Oh well, hopefully my next effort will produce better results. I will not get discouraged!

I've just downloaded the free version of Neat Image and applied it to the Red Daisy. I noticed some pleasing improvement. How do you find?
