Default Purple flower

Taken at Callaway Gardens in Georgia, USA with my Minolta DiMAGE F100. I don't know what kind of flower this is, but it really is beautiful.

Decent job, two red blobs rather distracting though. I'd clone em out.

A good trick with flowers is soft, warm evening light or spray em to get water droplets.

I was actually ducking in and out of the rain and we came upon these flowers. I took the shot at dusk while trying to shield myself from the elements.

I agree that the aperture could have been a little wider, so as to obscure the background detail, but I'm proud of the shot, considering the conditions.

I had evening light, but it was neither soft nor warm. And I have about a dozen shots of flowers with water droplets taken that same day, so I wanted to break the mold a bit.

Thanks for your response, though. At least it was honest.
