Hi all,

Was out walking a while ago and snapped this little guy. All I had on the camera was the Sigma 17-70mm f2.8-4.5 (D). This lens says closed focus is 20cm, however I can tell you it will focus down the front of the filter. Only problem is if you get too close then you can't get enough light on the subject.

Let me know what you think (yes, I could have done with more dof but was already working at 1/60th.

Mark

If you are "really" into macro shooting a ringlight flash works great for things like this. The Sigma is doing a fine job..
