Very good use of shallow DOF and great point of view, indeed. I just wished to see the rest of the wings:-)

I Was trying to get as much face detail asI could (I think if I had come out more I would have lost the impact on the face/tongue)

That is a great shot. So much to look at and to take a shot of it tasting the wood makes it priceless. Love it.

Really love the whole look of this photo, the DOF, Clarity, colour and composition. Very very nice.

Sorry I have not responded sooner I have bee a busy boy.

Thanks for your comments.

The shot was taken at about 6" away with a Olympus MCON-40 close up lens

attached, I also used a mono pod (I'm not as steady as I was:-))

I was in a butterfly house in London which made the shot easier
