Hope you don't mind an honest opinion...I think you've got abeautiful subject, but the focus seems soft and there doesn't seem to be any detail in the petals. First of all, what were your settings for the shot?

BTW,I seldom get a comment in this category. I use to postquite a bit inthe 'Wildlife' sectionand I got lots of responsesthere...lucky to get one here. As a matter of fact, I have one a couple lines down now without a single response.

i noticed it was a little soft... but i still liked it... it was at about 8:15 in the evening and the aperture was at 3.6 and i think 1/90 of a sec... iso was 80... anything past 100 and its really noisy! (darn PSers)it was crappy lighting... just a spur of the moment shot when i was watering the flowerbeds...

thanks for the response and ill have a looksy at yours!

I would try stopping down your aperture a bit to see if it will help with the softness.

I breed daylilies for fun. I guess that makes me somewhat opinionated, but I prefer the petals wide open so that you can see the form.
