Want to see what a nice digicam can do versus a digital SLR. I know a digital slr is superior, but I want to see what those who have had to make do with a digicam have come up with.

Thanks.

I don't know if you can call these awesome, but here are a few. Some have the exif embedded, some don't. If you are interested in any I can pull them for you. These were taken with the Kodak DX7590.

Those are all great shots. At first glance, the first one looks like a scene from an alien movie.

Excellent. The robberfly at 1/800" at f5.6 but how far away were you? Using a 38mm and diopters?

Thanks

Thanks so much for the compliments ! I do not have any macro lenses or diopters for this camera at this time. I was probably an inch to two away from the Robber Fly, as well as, the cicada. I have always been pleased with what this camera can do for being a P & S.

Thanks Again !

NHL,

Bleh.

I want to see what I can do with my digicam, not have you rub in my face how great a dslr is. I already know how great they are but unfortunately for me and many people they are prohibitively expensive.

Superb photos though!

Dawn did say she was using P&S not a dSLR and don't think anyone was rubbing anything about dSLRs.

They're really excellent shots Dawn - thanks for posting and sharing.
