Hi Gang

Not new to inkjet printers but new to laser printers. I have used a few and repaired a couple of them but have never owned one until this one.

Now I have done some research on them and just like filling your ink with Generic stuff, I understand you can do about the same with laser printers.

But one problem I have read about is if you do refill your own, there are some problems that occur, and that is the chips on the toners need to be reset, or something like that.

Can some one please explain to me the correct way to do this procedure.

Thanx....Gunny

Hey, Gunny, I use ink jet myself, but your question got me curious. I found THIS on Youtube, not sure if it's what you're looking for.

As far as the chip goes, the video shows him installing a new one.

Hi Hawgwild

Hey thanx for the info. I looked at the video and that pretty much says it all, about the powder and the chip you have to replace, that was my main concern. So I will have to be careful when ordering the powder to make sure the chip comes with it.

Thanx....Gunny
