BTW, as I'm sure you're already aware since you're probably using your new system, the Core i7 type CPUs are really good for image processing. See some Photoshop Benchmarks here:

They're even better for video editing using apps that can take advantage of multiple cores (much faster than most CPUs). See these benchmarks timing video editing using CS4 Premiere:

very nice goldwinger....it is nice to have warp speed ...lol .. i just got done with my new rig too couple of weeks ago...like blacknight im a gamer too need lots of power..and i shop at tiger direct too good store never had any problems with them ever been shopin for about 5 years now or more....and im a pc geek too..lol...but im a AMD guy myself...injoy your new machine goldwinger it makes things alot easier....

amd ? ..... man the i7 are sweet , if your like me and run the older so called quads? like the q6600 the i7 will run rings round it a few of my friends have them and they definatly kick ass..... i really wish i could afford a new build but i know i would at least need a 1000 for the motherboard (i only use intel extreme boards) processor and ram GW start with taking pictures of that beast of a machine you have

I've had it for about a month now and I'm really enjoying it. I started building computers about 20 years ago. I've built some nice ones for other people but, this is the first time I went all out for my own machine. It works pretty well with my 46" monitor too.
It was a big decision deciding if I wanted to invest in a computer or get the prime 500mm lens I want so bad! Man I wish I could hit the lottery or something. even a small one... $50,000 should pretty much take care of my wants... at least for a little while.
