Default Can anybody explain this?

My computer has no floppy drive, so today I bought an IBM external USB floppy drive. It works fine. But I don't understand one of the specifications listed on the bottom of the box - see the attached picture.

Under "Technical specifications" there are two lines that I've arrowed. I understand the top line of the two, but what does the lower one mean? Is it just a repeat of the same information?

No big deal. It's a line item using the old moniker for the 3.5" floppy that we know and love (probably makes Mac people feel better) plus tells you that it handles both two sided high density - 1.44mb and double density - 720Kb).

G'day Herb

the term 'micro floppy disks' was one used by Apple when they introduced the plastic-housed 3-1/2" disks that replaced all the old 5-1/4" IBM-designed disks ... which themselves had replaced the 8" original disks with 160kilobytes storage capacity

Aaaaahh how times have moved on !
Regards, Phil

SDROMEL $ Ozzie Traveller -

Thanks! I guess they must have intended "3/5" to mean the same as "3.5"! And Ozzie - I enjoyed your traveller sets.
