I agree that we are not back to 'normal' yet!
It's definitly easier / faster to log on now, but once you'r in, it takes ages to change from one forum to another. In fact, I have to close down steve's alltogether and re-enter steve's to get to the forum I want to visit - mainly in the "post your photo"-forums. |

Just as a matter of interest I had to manually shut my PC down just a while ago as after I tried to get into S. Ds. here everything locked up?
I hope you sort it soon as newbies wont be so persistant. Seems to me like someone out there is being malicious. Best wishes. |

deadshot,
Both the review site and forums have been running flawlessly for me today. Could your experience have been a local issue? |

Just to try things out, I came in today first by using my desktop shortcut, no problems. I then came in using Firefox ,no problems. I then came in via Internet Explorer, got into Forums ok, then Contact Steves ok. Then selected "Difficulty getting in" then the problems started trying to access page 3. I had to go back to Forums twice and come in again to eventually get here. So here I am obviously but it wasnt the normal seamless experience I am used to. Better though, than how it was a few days ago when it was virtually impossible. I'm no PC whizz kid so it may well be local or even my set up. It's always been fine in the past though. ??? |

That's weird.
The only solution I can offer right now is for you to keep an eye on it, and if the problem persists, let us know. |

I've been playing around with this this evening.
What I find is, it seems to be a Google problem which is strange as Firefox takes you through Google. When I come in from Google it's fine, Forums >Contact Steve > Difficulty Getting in , but selecting page 3 it doesn't want to know. So I have to back track and start again and again until I succeed. So providing I stick to using Firefox I'll be O.K. It sounds as though I'm advertising Firefox, (I'm not) as I had uninstalled Firefox some while ago as I didn't like it much and reinstalled it to see if it would get me onto S.Ds ,which it did. The mystery deepens. |

Just an update .
I came in seemlessly through Google, today ,the first time for a while. So it looks as though the bugs are dead. Well done, as I do miss this site, the best there is IMHO. |

Awesome news deadshot, and thanks for the kind words! The people on this forum are what make it so great.
Hopefully everyone else is connecting just fine now too. Our engineers worked crazy hours over last weekend to get Steve's (along with many other sites) back up and running. |
