What kind of telescope is best to take pictures of the moon and stars? I have a telescope that I can mount my camera to. But it makes the back end of the telescope heavy and the front of the telescope slowly move up. This blures my pictures.

Any ideas would be great.

You mention that your telescope slowly moves up?

I"m going to assume you have a GOTO type telescope mount?

You may need a counterweight to help balance out the load on the scope. If on a GOTO mount, the stress is probably binding the gears in the mount.

Thanks for your inputand yes it is a go to type mount. I'm trying to devise some kind of counter weight to put on the front of the telescope. But not sure how to attach it to the telescope to keep it from creeping up due to the weight of the camera on the back of it.

I'll keep playing with it.
