Default Best setup for F707

Disregard this post. I have concluded that this camera is not suitable for digiscoping and will be selling or trading for a coolpix 995.

You could try contacting www.eagleeyeuk.com. They make a 5x lens which can be adapted to many cameras. I don't know if it works on yours, but it's worth sending them email to ask.

I've never used it, but I've read good things about that lens. It's called:
EagleEye OpticZoom 5x Telephoto Lens

Thanks for the information but I have decided to trade or sell my f707 for coolpix 995. This Sony is just not suitable for digiscoping. I know I will be going from 5 megapixel to under 4 but I think the tradeoff will be worth it in the end.

Thanks again.

If you truly want to do digiscoping, the CP 995 is a very good choise. If you can't find it, I hear good things about the CP4500. It is also 4MP (I believe) but I assume they updated stuff which might make it worth considering.

I managed to get decent images using the Scoptronix Maxview and the 707/717 while entering about 20% into digital zoom. Am getting close to 2500mm, which is A LOT, but manageable. Normally I use my CP4500, which is great.
