For those interested in examples taken with this mirror lens, here is a series of threads arranged roughly from near to far (the lens focuses down to 10 feet, although none of these were that close) - all hand held or with a monopod. These were the first taken with this combo (the camera was unfamiliar), so some improvement could be possible. Sure beats digiscoping at this magnification IMO - I haven't tried it with a converter yet.

I don't know what it is (probably the clear white background) but these brought back memories of high school.
